About LocoPrints

Illustrations of iconic British steam locomotives by Mark Cheltenham. 

I'm a CGI animator with a love of steam engines and I decided to combine the two by building my favourite locomotives in 3D and rendering them out as high quality digital prints available in three different sizes. The locos are meticulously researched, based on General Arrangement drawings from the NRM archive and hundreds of reference photos. Each class of locomotive can be seen they underwent modifications and livery changes over their working lives.

Once built in 3D, the locos can be viewed, not just as a side elevation, but at any angle and the valve gear is rigged to see how it appears at any point in the wheel revolution. Available as large and medium sized posters or A5 postcards.

It's easy to change the names and numbers to create bespoke prints for birthdays and special occasions. Contact me for prices if you have an idea for a customised print or a particular engine to be illustrated.
